What Do We Actually Get From Self-Realization
If we could only see that even the space in which we act is rich with the fullness of our own divinity, a divinity that constantly contributes to and upholds our very breath, our walk would become a universal vision of our own intimate consciousness.
Every fiber in our body, every atom, every molecule, every organic structure, every feeling, every thought, is a mirror image of infinite connectedness to the universal values from which they awoke.
We are all swimming and splashing around to various degrees of clarity and acceptance inside a limitless ocean of divine reality. It is our true home. Spanning all layers of life as the essence of our experience. It can be developed into conscious awareness within daily life and be known and experienced as our own ever-present consciousness.
:) Lovely way to put it. Thank you Harri!
It is easier to understand people with fewer dimensions than oneself. Your writing clearly comes from more dimensions than I am aware of, both mind boggling and stimulating to read, expanding the vision so I continue. Trying to understand Shakespeare’s sonnets which seem to be poems of divine revelation, has the same problem. The main thing for me is that over decades of meditation and other inner work there is progress – life has a fullness that was not there before. Recently coping with my wife’s death there is still suffering, but relieved by inner dimensions – for me self realization is dissolving of conditioning and expansion of love, very little flashy stuff in the last 20 years, yet great changes from Being and not Doing.
Greetings,
This resonated very deeply, and has come at a time , much needed time.I have had glimmers of this awareness only when one is in a comfort zone, as in a walk in nature but when life pushes one out to discomfort and pain, then the struggle!-Slowly , practice seems to be veering not to resist and to just accept what arises, joyfully offering ones weakness to the Absolute.
We have just moved form India to a small town near NYC. Did not realize how strong identity is, how mind seeks the familiar.Currently, I go into a panic attack everytime I go to a supermarket and see choice. The vibe here is so different.A fellow soul on the path reminded me that in the shop is God,a supermarket god, and to rest in that completely in moments when I feel like I am making a fool of myself!! Figuring out which is a quarter and taking too much time, is a much needed punch for the ego!
The interview at Buddha at the Gas pump, spoke to me and the clarity, compassion and humility from which your words arose touched deeply.
i only know I do not know. And may the path guide.
light and prayers
